A Single Step: Lisbon 2013

While visiting Portugal in March, I was able to visit Lisbon. Now, I spent a lot of my childhood in Lisbon since it was only 10 minutes away from my home, but as I was young I never quite appreciated its beauty.

Bertrand Bookshop - This was probably the thing I was most looking forward to seeing in Lisbon! This shop is the oldest bookshop in the world; it was founded in 1732.

A Single Step: Almada 2013

So back in March I had to go to the homeland for a National Defence day, and since I hadn't been there in over 2 years I decided to take some good photographs now that I'm more interested in photography.
The following photos are from my hometown of Almada:

Praia da Costa da Caparica - I used to come to this beach every day during the Summer holiday.
Almada Velha - There is a place in Almada that is called 'Old Almada' because it was the first area to be built and it hasn't changed since then. It's made of of narrow winding streets and extremely old houses. I've always had a fascination with old things - both in the sense of vintage/historic and falling-apart old - and so this area was at the top of my list of places to visit!
